It's Yu Darvish All Over Again

I am a huge baseball fan and since I live in Canada, in the Toronto area, naturally my favorite team is the Toronto Blue Jays. Now, two weeks before Christmas the Jays were rumored, by many, to be the top bidder for the services of Japanese superstar pitcher Yu Darvish but nobody could say with certainty until a week later when the winning team was announced. The bid was said to be about $50 million. I was very excited about the possibility of Darivsh becoming a member of the Jays.  As it turned out, Darvish would not be plying his trade in Toronto but rather the Texas Rangers were the team that won the bidding. The Blue Jays could not deliver a Christmas gift to their supporters.

Moving to this week, you may recall that I found someone via my craigslist posting, if you do not  and she wanted to meet. I sent an e-mail on Wednesday evening offering a prospects on where to meet and when to do so.  I suggested that we meet tonight in a central part of town, tonight. The thing is that she, as of January 6 at 12:38, is yet to respond to my e-mail. I do not know what to make of this she responded to my first e-mail the same day I sensed it but in two days I have yet to receive a response to my second e-mail. She seemed very interested in meeting, we exchanged photographs of ourselves. I just do not know what to make of this. Is she backing out or has she yet to check her e-mail. I do not know. What I do know is that is that I am kind a miffed by this. I do not care if she has changed her mind or not but at lest I want to know if she has or not. What do you think readers, am I overacting or not, plead your case in the comments section.

This is the second time in a month I felt that I have got something but in the end it was all for not. To quote Yogi Berra "it's deja vu all over again"

  1. Hm... I'd wait a few more days before conculding anything. If she hasn't responded yet, it is kinda annoying of her.
